THE ROYAL WELCH FUSILIERS REGIMENTAL MUSEUM

Project Documentation Officer

£20,000
(Two-year Fixed Term Contract)


With the aim of improving access for the public the Trustees of the Royal Welch Fusiliers Museum are moving the archive and reserve collection to Wrexham. Prior to this a full collections survey is to be undertaken. At the heart of the survey will be the documentation of the collection. With grant-aid from CyMAL we are able to appoint a Project Documentation Officer to work with the Curator and staff on the survey. The post-holder will be based primarily in Caernarfon.

Applications are invited from candidates with experience of documenting social and military museum and/or archive collections. Proven ability to work both as a team member and with a degree of self-motivation is essential. The post-holder will need to be computer-proficient and a sound working knowledge of MODES for Windows and CALM would be advantageous. Empathy for military and social history, Wales and the Welsh language are desirable.
